In Teshio town, the building of former town office, which was known as “Red Brick”, was rebuilt and Historical Museum of the Teshio River was opened finally.<\/p>\n
Historical Museum of the Teshio River was established to position it as a place to create future of Teshio by remembering the history of the town walked with mother Teshio River and inheriting the heritage that has been built by predecessors in difficult life.<\/p>\n
Teshio town once hailed as “New World Teshio” for glory on fishery and forestry is about to open up a new era as “Dairy Teshio”.<\/p>\n
This museum is not only a place for the town people to recognize Teshio as their hometown, but also a learning place to think about future of town as well as gathering together.<\/p>\n
All of the items exhibited here were originally in town and were provided by town people.<\/p>\n
We would like to thank everyone for warm cooperation in the construction, and we hope that Historical Museum of the Teshio River will create a spiritual bond for town people and will be familiar for them as the starting point for creating a new town.<\/p>\n
