Many fishermen from various areas gathered in Teshio and it was very lively. Herring fishing using gill nets was organized by many people including masters, boatmen and other workers. During the period from Amioroshi(the beginning of fishing) to Kiriage(the end of fishing), they processed herring into dried herring and fertilizer of farmland while living together at Banya*.
